"Wandering Child" occurs when Christine visits her father's grave, right after "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again". It is a duet sung with the Phantom, who is trying to convince her that he is her "Angel of Music". A strange light appearing inside the moseleum of Mssr. Daaé, Christine is drawn towards the Phantom. He sings "Wandering Child, so lost, so helpless..." and she answers in return "Angel or Father, Friend, or Phantom, who is it there, staring?" Christine is mesmerized and walks closer and closer until...Raoul appears on his white horse, quickly a sword fight ensues between the Fop and Phantom while Christine watches, utterly petrified.
